Clergy Workshop Overview

Are you:

  • tired of meeting the needs of others at your own emotional expense?
  • challenged by people who don't listen but need to be understood?
  • wondering why people don't hear what's important to you?
  • triggered when someone unleashes blame and judgment on you?
  • frustrated when people need your endless attention?
  • burned out from trying to reason with people who see each other as the enemy?

This unique two-day interactive workshop applies the principles of non-adversarial communication to handle these and similar situations.

Participants practice the basic skills before applying the skills to their personal challenges. Non-Adversarial Communication is based on Dr. Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent CommunicationSM.

Workshop Benefits:
  • Remain compassionate under very trying conditions
  • Create more harmonious relationships at work, in community, and at home
  • Develop skills that shift people's views of each other as enemies to seeing each other as human
  • Meet others' needs and your own compassionately

Key Topics:
  • Communication that connects people versus disconnects them
  • Where to put your attention in order to make and keep a strong connection with difficult people
  • Common obstacles to compassionate communication
  • Working with people who are resistant to change
